Mobile retailers have once again accused Chinese smartphone companies Xiaomi and Realme, besides Korean company Samsung, of harming the offline market. It is alleged that these companies are completely focusing on online and this has caused offline retailers a loss. Retailers say they are incurring losses due to lack of offline stock.

National President of All India Mobile Retailer Association (AIMRA) Arvind Khurana said, 'Realme Narzo's stock is not available offline. The company has stock but all the devices are being diverted online. Apart from this, the C Series stock has not been given in the offline market even after being in demand in the segment priced below Rs 15,000. The company's ratio between online and offline is 80:20. Khurana said that the brand Xiaomi, which is at the top position in India, is also not supporting its offline partners. He said, 'Xiaomi is selling devices from its own online channel and saving a profit margin of 4 to 5 percent by not giving devices to online partners. Puri's entire Redmi 9 series is missing from the offline smartphone market. ' Xiaomi's offline partners are suffering losses. Samsung phones are also coming for online sale.

Loss to offline retailers

Considering the market trends, Oppo and Vivo are also reducing offline margins and are focusing on online. Offline retailers are angry about this and according to Khurana, offline retailers are losing 40 to 45 percent. He said that after talking to the brands about the damage caused by Corona virus lockdown, online sale will be done to compensate them. Retailers have written letters to these companies complaining.
