Pandya brothers on one side, Karan brothers on the other side: one match, 2-2 brothers in both teams, this special connection is in all four

The teams of India and England descended on the field with the brothers in the first ODI match being played at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium here on Tuesday. On one side Tom Karan and Sam Karan brothers from England side, while Krunal and Hardik Pandya brothers came to play matches for India. Krunal started his ODI career with this match.

Krunal and Hardik are the third such brothers who have played in India’s ODI match together. Before him, Mohinder and Surinder Amarnath and Irfan and Yusuf Pathan brothers have played in ODIs for India. The Amarnath brothers have played three ODIs together for India, while the Pathan brothers have played eight ODIs and as many T20 matches together for India.

At the same time, Tom and Sam brothers have previously played ODI for England together against Sri Lanka in October 2018. The four brothers playing in the first ODI between India and England are all-rounders and only among them Krunal bowls spin.

On the other hand, Tom, Sam and Hardik are fast bowlers. Krunal, who made his debut ODI match, played an unbeaten 58-run knock off 31 balls with seven fours and two sixes.
