Actress Parineeti Chopra will rejoin The Girl on the Train director Ribhu Dasgupta for an action-thriller in which she will play the role of an undercover agent. The yet untitled film revolves around the covert rescue operations of Indian agents, led by Parineeti Chopra as the protagonist. ‘This is (not set) in the Indo-Pakistan background. The film stars Parineeti acting as a secret agent. The film is also about his personal journey and his revenge, ‘a source close to the film’s team told PTI.
According to the insider, the film’s cast also includes Rajit Kapoor, KK Menon, Dibyendu Bhattacharya and Hardy Sandhu.
The floor show in March is produced by Reliance Entertainment. Producers are in the process of investigating locations between coronovirus epidemics and obtaining permission.
Parineeti Chopra, 32, and Ribhu Dasgupta, best known for directing T3N and the Netflix series Bard of Blood, are currently awaiting the release of the Hindi remake of the 2016 Hollywood blockbuster The Girl on the Train. Emily Blunt’s Native American film was based on Paula Hawkins’ 2015 best-selling novel of the same name.
Set in the UK, the Hindi version also stars Aditi Rao Hydari, Kirti Kulhari and Avinash Tiwari.
The Girl on the Train was slated to hit nationwide on 8 May this year, but the release was delayed in the wake of the epidemic.

The Girl on the Train will appear in the Hindi remake and Ritu Dasgupta’s untitled film, besides Parineeti Dibakar Banerjee’s Sandeep and Pinky absconding. The film was scheduled to be released in March 2020. However, the novel remained closed due to the coronovirus epidemic, delaying its release. The makers are yet to decide the film’s new release date. She is also preparing for the biopic of badminton winner Saina Nehwal.
