According to a report, a petition has been filed on behalf of a Chennai lawyer seeking to arrest Virat and Tamanna.
According to the report, the petitioner has sought a direction from the High Court to ban online gambling. He also referred to the case of a boy who had recently committed suicide because he could not return the money he had borrowed for online gambling.
The petition states that the youth are getting used to it and online gambling companies are using stars like Virat and Tamanna to brainwash the youth. Like many other stars, Virat was seen promoting an online game in an ad.
The petitioner also referred to recent increasing cases of suicides in Tamil Nadu where the youth took such a step after losing a lot of money in online gambling.
