Former England captain Kevin Pietersen on Tuesday congratulated India on their big win but also tried to reduce their importance by calling their team ‘England B’. India won the second Test match by 317 runs shortly after lunch on the fourth day to level the four-match series 1-1.
England won the first match by a huge margin of 227 runs. Pietersen tweeted in Hindi in a brief but snappy manner after India’s victory, ‘Congratulations Ho India, for defeating England B’.
After this, the former star batsman also criticized the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) for continuing the rotation policy against the strongest team in the world in such an important series on their land.
Pietersen said, ‘You didn’t choose your best team in the most difficult place to win a Test match. You cannot even express your feelings on this. …. Now Moin Ali is returning after playing a Test match. Wow.’
