Argentine police investigated the death of football star Diego Maradona and searched his personal doctor’s home and clinic. Journalists saw several police officers stationed at the door of Neurologist Doctor Leopoldo Lucke’s office.
According to a statement from the San Isidro lawyer’s office, court investigators are taking statements from Maradona’s relatives. Lawyers are investigating the medical treatment Maradona received before his death on Wednesday to see if there was any negligence. Investigators were trying to get Maradona’s medical records, according to the statement.
Maradona was cremated on Thursday with only two dozen people present. He died of a heart attack at his home in Buenos Aires.
