South Africa withdrew their name in the cricket tournament (3 TC) Solidarity Cup of the three teams being played in the new format by the captain of Quites de Kock. Through this tournament, the cricket season is starting again in the country after being suspended due to Covid-19on Saturday.
In the absence of wicketkeeper batsman De Kock, South African batsman Tenba Bawuma Kites will captain the team. His place in the team has been replaced by wicketkeeper Ryan Rickelton.
Cricket South Africa tweeted, “Kites captain Quinton de Kock has withdrawn from the tournament due to personal reasons.”
Under the new format, 24 top cricketers from South Africa will be in three teams. These teams are Eagles, Kingfishers and Kites. The match will consist of two 18-over overs. Each team will get 12 overs which will be divided into 6-6 overs. These six overs will throw different teams. The draw will decide who will bat first. Every team must bat in two innings during the match.
