Rahul Roy Health Update: ‘Aashiqui’ actor makes his way to recovery


new Delhi: Bollywood actor Rahul Roy recently had a brain stroke while shooting for his upcoming film. The actor was airlifted from Kargil and taken to Srinagar and then brought back to Mumbai. Rahul Roy was shooting in Kargil for his upcoming film LAC – Live the Battle which also featured Nishant Singh Malkani, contestant of ‘Bigg Boss 14’.

Now, according to a report by a leading daily, the actor is slowly recovering and this morning he also walked from his room outside the hospital garden. The report further states that Rahul spoke on the phone with his family friend and producer Ashwini Kumar for about a minute.

Ashwani Kumar confirmed the same and told TOI, “Rahul has started eating too: he is on a light diet to start. There is a small clot that is still there, it will be thinly dissolved. Of course the whole process will take time but so far so good. “

The actor’s brother-in-law Romner Sen also told the publication that, “I am happy with Rahul’s progress. He should be back among his fans soon. “

Earlier Romner also dismissed the news of stenting and said, “Stenting is not required yet. I am also in touch with a top neurosurgeon in Kolkata and he has even said that Rahul is showing signs of recovery. ‘

The exact cause of the stroke cannot be ascertained but appears to be Rahul’s shooting during the high altitude where the temperature was -15 degrees and he initially feels a bit lost and confused, after which he is unable to form a sentence. Tha (condition called Aphasia).
