Rajat Bhatia, the big name of Indian domestic cricket, has announced his retirement from all formats. Bhatia played domestic cricket for nearly 20 years.

Born in Delhi, Bhatia started his home journey from Tamil Nadu. He was selected by the home team after playing there for two seasons. Till 2015, he played for Delhi. After this, moved to Rajasthan and Uttarakhand. He played a total of 112 Ranji matches, 81 of which he played for Delhi. In his Ranji career, Bhatia scored 6482 runs and took 137 wickets. Of this, Delhi scored 4666 runs and 96 wickets.

Despite consistently performing well in domestic cricket, he never made it to the national team. Bhatia continued to play well both with the ball and bat. In 2007, when Delhi won the Ranji Trophy title, Bhatia played an important role in it. This was the first time since 1991–92 when Delhi became the Ranji champions. In the 2007 season, Bhatia scored 512 runs in seven matches.

Bhatia used to bowl slow medium. He also showed his jauhar in IPL. He appeared in this prestigious league every season from 2008 to 2017.
