Veteran Bollywood actor Rajiv Kapoor, best known for his performance in Raj Kapoor’s ‘Ram Teri Ganga Maili’, died on February 9 after suffering from cardiac arrest. He left for his heavenly abode at the age of 58. Several Tinsel Town celebs, including Madhuri Dixit, Anupam Kher, Sunny Deol and Akshay Kumar, mourned her demise on social media.
The likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, Tara Sutaria and Chunky Pandey went to the Kapoor family home in Chembur to pay their last respects to the late actor. Alia Bhatt had to return early from her Maldives leave after Ranbir Kapoor’s uncle passed away.
Several pictures of Rajiv Kapoor with his family members went viral on the Internet when he died. In one photo, the ‘Lover Boy’ actor can be seen posing with young Ranbir Kapoor and the late Rishi Kapoor.
Rishi Kapoor, who died in April 2020, can be seen on camera in a throw back snap. A fan club of Ranbir Kapoor wrote in the caption with the photo on Instagram, “Pyaar Bhari Yad Mein.” The picture will definitely leave a tear in the eye. Check it out!
Ranbir Kapoor cremated his uncle at a crematorium in Chembur. The Kapoor family did not host a chauth ceremony for Rajiv Kapoor due to ‘security reasons’. Neetu Singh shared a family statement on Instagram to inform fans that she has decided not to organize Rajiv Kapoor’s Chauth due to the COVID-19 epidemic.
The Kapoyars organized a small puja in memory of Rajiv Kapoor on Friday (12 February). Karisma Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Boney Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan were sent to Kapoor’s house for worship.
Talking about Ranbir, the ‘Sanju’ star is currently busy with Luv Ranjan’s upcoming film. He will appear in the much-awaited film, sharing screen-space with Shraddha Kapoor.
In Kapoor’s laddus, ‘Brahmastra’, ‘Shamshera’ and ‘Animal’ are in the pipeline. The Barfi will star in Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’ opposite Alia Bhatt for the first time. The makers are yet to announce the release date.
