new Delhi: Bollywood actor Faraz Khan, son of veteran actor Yusuf Khan, battling with his life in a hospital in Bengaluru. The talented actor, known for his brilliant performances in films like ‘Mehndi’ and ‘Fareb’, has been suffering from cough and chest infections for over a year. He was hospitalized when his condition worsened, the actor’s brother Fahman Khan told ETimes.

Faraz’s family members Farhad Abusher and Ahmed Shamoon have started a fund to seek financial help to treat the actor. Faraj is currently in the ICU after suffering from a brain infection and needs Rs 25 lakh for further treatment.
Pooja Bhatt resorted to social media to request her followers to help raise fun for Faraz Khan’s treatment. She informed her fans that she was doing her job and urged them to contribute. The Sadak ‘actress tweeted, “Please share and contribute if possible. I am. I’m grateful if any of you can be good.”
Details about Faraz Khan’s condition were shared on the fundraiser platform. The actor, suffering from cough and chest infection, decided to consult a doctor on 8 October on a video call. After seeing his condition, the doctor recommended the actor to be hospitalized as his cough was intense. The actor suffered a seizure while an ambulance was on its way. He started moving uncontrollably and was desperate to control his antics.

“As the ambulance arrived, Faraz went out on a stretcher and was being lowered into an ambulance when he faced another seizure. As the ambulance left for Vikram Hospital, Bangalore, it had a third attack in the ambulance in such a short time.. Faraz was admitted to the emergency ward of Vikram Hospital where we came to know that he had suffered three consecutive seizures due to a ringworm infection in his brain which had spread from his chest. Also, while he was suffering from these seizures, he swallowed the mucus and saliva of his cough which entered his lungs and caused pneumonia there. Due to this, his blood pressure and heartbeat increased significantly and he could not breathe. On the professional front, Faraz Khan has acted in films like ‘Prithvi’, ‘Dulhan Bano Main Teri’ and ‘Dil Ne Phir Yaad Kiya’. He worked on TV shows like ‘Raat ho gayi hai’, h shashshsh… Koi hai ‘, ere sindoor tere naam ka’ and i blue eyes.
So far, the fundraiser has generated Rs. 4.79 lakh out of the required 25 lakhs.
