Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) leg-spinner Rashid Khan (Rashid Khan) conceded only 22 runs in four overs in the Eliminator match played against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). He has said that he was avoiding bowling at fuller length and this made him quite economical.
Rashid said after the match, ‘I kept things simple and bowled in right field. Check out my previous records of where I bowled. I saw that I was hitting on the full length, so I avoided it. I knew that if I bowled at the right place that I would be economical and also take wickets.
Although Rashid did not get a single wicket in the match, he was very economical and gave runs at an average of only 5.5.
He said, ‘My ball was turning well in Dubai and taking a good bounce. The wicket is slow in Sharjah. Bowling back of length is difficult. As a bowler, you have to hit the ball and trust yourself. Rashid has taken 19 wickets in 15 matches in the tournament so far.
