BSNL announced three new postpaid plans on 1 December. The Rs 798 plan included in this list will directly compete with the Rs 799 Geopostpaid plan. The state-run telecom company is set to compete with Mukesh Ambani-led Jio in every segment prepaid, postpaid and broadband. BSNL’s Rs 799 plan comes with data rollover facility, family add-on connection. Today we will know that which is more beneficial in Jio’s plan of Rs 799 or BSNL’s Rs 798 plan?

Talking about Geopostpaid Plus plan, the company offers unlimited voice calling on any network for Rs 799. Apart from this, 150GB data is available in this plan which comes with 200GB rollover facility. 100 SMSes are also free every day. In this plan, the company also offers two additional family connections in which unlimited voice calling and SMS benefits are available. Apart from this, Netflix Mobile, Amazon Prime Membership and Disney + Hotstar VIP subscription are also free in this pack. Apart from this, the membership of Jio apps is also available free in this plan of Jio. New customers will have to pay a separate charge of Rs 99 for JioPrime.

Talk about BSNL’s postpaid plan of Rs 798, then Jio’s postpaid facilities of Rs 799 are provided. In this plan of the government telecom company, 50GB data is available which comes with 150GB rollover facility. Unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS are offered every day on any network across the country. Apart from this, the telecom company also offers two family add-on connections in which all the benefits are available with the primary connection. However, no OTT subscription is offered in this postpaid plan of BSNL.
Reliance Jio Rs 249 plan, 2GB data every day and unlimited calls
It is worth noting that both telecom companies are offering equal data, calling minutes, add-ons and SMS benefits in their plans. But in the entertainment section, Jio beats BSNL. Not only third party OTT subscription is available in Jio’s plan, but apps like Jio Cinema, Jio TV of the company can also be viewed for free. Apart from this, where BSNL still offers 3G network, Jio is still a single LTE-only operator in the country.
