Veteran cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has joined hands with an NGO (NGO) to help the financially vulnerable 560 tribal children. Tendulkar has partnered with the ‘NGO Parivar’ (NGO Parivaar) which has built a service cottage in remote villages of Sehore district in Madhya Pradesh.
Children of the villages of Sevania, Bilapati, Khapa, Nayapura and Jamunjheel of this district are being provided nutritious food and education with the help of Tendulkar’s organization. These children are mainly from the Barela Bhil and Gond tribes.
The NGO said, “This initiative of Sachin (Tendulkar) is a testament to his concern for the tribal children of Madhya Pradesh who are suffering from malnutrition and illiteracy.” As a goodwill ambassador of UNICEF, Tendulkar has been regularly speaking on the essential issue of ‘early development of children’.
