Champion cricketer Sachin Tendulkar helped treat 100 children from vulnerable sections in six states amid the corona virus epidemic. He helped treat children from Maharashtra, West Bengal, Assam, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh with the ‘Ekam’ Foundation which took place in government and trust hospitals.
He helped children who are suffering from serious illnesses who are not able to afford the treatment. Earlier this month, he gave equipment to the pediatric department at Makunda Hospital in Assam, which would benefit more than two thousand children every year.
Tendulkar has worked with UNICEF for the future of children on the occasion of World Children’s Day. Amita Chatterjee, managing partner of Ekam Foundation, said, “We have been very good with Sachin Tendulkar through this foundation. Sachin has done a great job in healthcare. Together we have worked in the field of providing good health care to the underprivileged.
