Samsung’s Dhansoo app will search for lost phone without internet and network

Now you will be able to find lost Samsung Galaxy smartphones, Galaxy Watch, tablets or earbuds. The company has released an app named SmartThings Find. The special feature of this app is that it helps to find Samsung Galaxy devices without internet connection and lost mobile network. Let’s know details.

Use of BLE and ultra-wideband technology
According to details shared by the company, the SmartThings Find app searches for lost Galaxy devices using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and ultra-wideband technology. After locating the device, this app allows the user to access the locked device via map and sound.

Supports devices with these OS
This Samsung app can work on Galaxy smartphones and tablets operating on Android 8 and later OS. It is also compatible with Galaxy Watches that work on Tizen 5.5 or later. Galaxy Buds Plus and Galaxy Buds Live have started receiving OS updates for this feature.

BLE signal emits after this time
Samsung said that after the device is offline for 30 minutes, BLE signals start emitting from it, which other devices can receive. After this the SmartThings app can be used with the signal that you are using to search for a lost device.

Any nearest Galaxy device using this service gives the location information to the Samsung server and after that Samsung passes it on to the user.
