According to the Central Crime Bureau police, Ragini along with four other accused, including Galrani’s friend Rahul Ranka, a Senegal citizen and alleged drug supplier Loum Pepper Samba, were arrested about 11 days ago in a drug case.

Police said Galrani and high-profile party planner Viren Khanna would be placed in police custody for questioning.

After leading producer-director Indrajit Lankesh’s crime branch and sharing information about the alleged use of drugs in Sandalwood naming 15 people, CCB started investigating drug menace in the Kannada film industry.

Based on the revelations of Lankesh, who is also credited with directing Deepika Padukone in her first film in Kannada, CCB arrested Ravi, who took her to Dwivedi.

Galrani was questioned on the basis of interrogation of a person named Naira. Both actors have been subjected to a dope test.
