Sanju Samson Fielding: Superman Sanju Samson, Glenn Maxwell’s shot floated in the air and prevented him from crossing the boundary

Sydney
Sanju Samson won the hearts of all with a great fielding in the third and last T20 International of the series being played in Sydney between India and Australia. The Indian players missed several opportunities and in the meantime Samson’s fielding was a relief for India. Australia scored 186 for 5 wickets after being invited to bat first. Matthew Wade scored 80 off 53 balls and Glenn Maxwell scored 54 off 36 balls.

It was the 14th over of the Australian innings when all-rounder Glenn Maxwell played on long on off paceman Shardul Thakur. Maxwell hit the ball so well that he did not move from his place. He expected the ball to cross the boundary line.

The 26-year-old leaped into the air at long on and caught the ball. He was going across the boundary and in such a situation, he threw the ball again in the field before he could show his reflex. The batsmen were able to take only two runs and Samson saved four runs for India.

Former England cricketer and commentator Lisa Sthalekar retweeted Superman’s cartoon. She wrote that I am retweeting what I did in the last match … Samson did it once again.

The ICC also posted a picture of Sanju and wrote, “Super Sanju, this shot of Maxwell was going for six but Sanju Samson intercepted it.”
