Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi is often seen making baseless statements on India and Kashmir but has said that he does not hold back from expressing his views. Shahid Afridi has also clashed with former India opener and sitting MP Gautam Gambhir on social media several times due to his 'brazenness'.
Afridi recently gave a statement about Kashmir, after which he was responded to by the sports world, including many cricketers. For this reason, former all-rounders Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh said that they would not have any contact with Afridi.
Cricket Pakistan quoted Afridi as saying, “Everyone should tell the truth, whatever it may be.” I believe that humanity is above everything, so I do not hold back from giving my views even if India is involved in it. '
The 40-year-old Afridi, who recently recovered from the Corona virus, also praised his country's limited overs team captain Babar Azam and said he would soon start winning matches on his own. The former all-rounder said, “Babar Azam is the backbone of the Pakistan team and I don't think he would have felt the pressure if he was compared to Virat Kohli.” I hope that Babur will soon start winning matches for Pakistan on his own.
