Indian team’s middle order batsman Shreyas Iyer is ready to make a comeback from injury. He has also started batting practice under the guidance of coach Praveen Amre. Not only this, he also broke two bats in a single day during practice. Iyer has shared two pictures in his Instagram story, in which he is seen with the coach, while the other has two broken bats.
It is noteworthy that India’s limited overs specialist Shreyas Iyer was to make a comeback to competitive cricket with Lancashire representing Lancashire in the Royal London Cup, but was forced to withdraw after failing to fully recover from a shoulder injury.
Iyer had injured his left shoulder during an ODI against England in Pune earlier this year. He then underwent surgery in the UK. Shreyas has recently started net practice, but it is understood that he is still a long way from achieving the required fitness for the tournament which runs from July 22 to August 18.
Shreyas Iyer had to withdraw from the current season of IPL due to injury. In his absence, Rishabh Pant was made the captain of Delhi Capitals.
