Extending its investigation into the drugs case in the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has called the former actor’s former manager Shruti Modi and talent manager Jaya Saha for questioning.
A senior NCB official said that the drug law enforcement agency has called Shruti Modi and Saha to appear in their Mumbai office on Wednesday morning.
The officer said he would be questioned about drug use and delivery to Sushant and his girlfriend Riya Chakraborty, who were arrested last Tuesday, and if they were aware of this.
The latest development comes after the arrest of more than 15 people in connection with the case, including Riya, her brother Shovik, Sushant’s home manager Samuel Miranda and many others.
The NCB registered the case at the request of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) after alleged drug chats by Shopik, Miranda and several others.
Sushant was found hanging in his Mont Blanc apartment on 14 June.
Apart from CBI and ED, NCB is the third agency to investigate the case of Sushant’s death.
Official sources said on Monday that meanwhile, names of Bollywood celebrities like Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh and Simon Khambata have apparently surfaced in the NCB investigation in a significant development.
The NCB is also preparing to issue summons in the coming days for questioning.
