New Zealand captain Sophie Devine has scored the fastest century in women’s T20 cricket. He achieved this position on Thursday. Sophie scored a century off just 36 balls in the Super Smash competition.
Sophie, 31, hit nine sixes and nine fours in her innings. His 108-run knock helped Wellington Blaze beat Otago Spark by 10 wickets.
The all-rounder broke the 38-ball record of West Indies’ Dandra Dottin in 2010. Dandra made her first century in the women’s T20 in 2010. He had hit a century off just 38 balls. In 2018, Australia’s Grasse Harris hit a hundred off 42 balls for the Brisbane Heat.
Divine said she felt quite nervous after spending 14 days in isolation after arriving from Australia. He told Spark Sports, “Whenever you take a long break from the game, there is a little nervousness when you return.”
Talking about men’s cricket, Chris Gayle has the fastest T20 century. Gayle played a 30-ball century against Pune Warriors while playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL.
