Former Indian captain and veteran batsman Sunil Gavaskar said that he would like to see Saurabh Ganguly remain the chairman of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Gavaskar also said that he would love to see Saurabh and his team together by the end of the 2023 World Cup.
Gavaskar wrote in his column for the Daily Mail, 'The Supreme Court's decision to postpone the hearing of several applications by the BCCI and some of its recognized associations has left Indian cricket in a state of uncertainty. Certainly, there are many more important matters before the country's highest court than cricket. But Indian cricket lovers are eagerly awaiting the verdict.
He further wrote, 'Personally I would love to see Saurabh and his team together by the end of the 2023 World Cup in India. But let's see what the court decides. Gavaskar wrote, “As Saurabh initially elevated the Indian team after a bad time and restored confidence in Indian cricket lovers, he and his team seem to be able to do the same with the BCCI administration.”
