Left-handed batsman Suresh Raina says Rohit Sharma, the vice-captain of the limited overs format, could be the next Mahendra Singh Dhoni due to his leadership quality and his influence in the dressing room.
Rohit has achieved good feats as captain. Mumbai Indians have won the Indian Premier League title four times under his leadership. Their team is the most successful team in this league. Along with this, he was also the captain of the team in the 2018 Asia Cup. India won this tournament.
“I would say he is the next Mahendra Singh Dhoni of Indian cricket,” Raina said in The Super Over podcast with South African all-rounder JP-Duminy.
