Mumbai Indians star batsman Suryakumar Yadav was in the news for several reasons in the IPL. One is his brilliant game with the bat and the other his ‘wrangling’ with Virat Kohli.
Despite Yadav scoring a lot of runs with the bat, he was not selected in the Indian team going on tour to Australia. Many former cricketers were surprised by this. Great players like Sachin Tendulkar also advocated Suryakumar to be selected in Team India.
The Mumbai batsman also admitted that he was a bit disappointed when he was not selected for the Australia tour.
He told Sports Tak that he was expected to be selected on the tour. He said, ‘I was batting well, I was also scoring runs. Not only in IPL but also in domestic cricket, I was playing well in white ball cricket and somewhere I hoped I could be selected.
He said, ‘I was disappointed for some time but he says that the show must go on. I also played the match the next day. ‘
Yadav said that when the team was announced, he was training in the gym. He said that when he came to know that he was not in the team, he did not feel like training him. He did not complete the session in the gym. And after that did not even feel like having dinner. He was not even talking much.
Suryakumar Yadav told that his next match was against Royal Challengers Bangalore. In this match, there was an ‘squabble in the eyes’ between him and Virat Kohli. On this Yadav said that he has no problem with Virat.
Yadav said, ‘Virat Kohli is not only in that match but always in aggressive style. This match was very important for his team. If his team had won this match, he would have come second.
Yadav said that Virat Kohli had praised his game after the match. Yadav said that Kohli called him well plaid.
Yadav said that there is no mess between his Kohli. It was just a moment and was immediately forgotten.
