new Delhi: An autorickshaw driver and owner of a posh restaurant arrested six people of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) late Saturday for plying the drugs mafia in the investigation of drugs mafia in the case of the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. on Sunday.
The six arrested drug peddlers were identified by Karanjit Singh Anand, Dwayne Fernandes, Sanket Patel, Ankush Anereja, Sandeep Gupta and Aftab Fateh Ansari, NCB Deputy Director KPS Malhotra.

Malhotra said that arrested by the NCB Mumbai Zonal Unit team led by Sameer Wankhede from Mumbai and Goa, he would be produced before a magistrate in Mumbai through video conferencing on Monday.
Sushant was found dead in his Bandra home flat on 14 June – a major political row, the upheaval in Bollywood and simultaneous investigations by the NCB, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and even the Enforcement Directorate (ED) done.
Those on Sunday included some peddlers who supplied drugs to the late actor through Shovik Chakraborty, brother of his girlfriend Riya Chakraborty and others.
23-year-old Anand is described as a Mumbai-based narcotics supplier with a local distribution channel of drugs in Bollywood circles, and NCB operatives recovered unspecified amounts of charas and hemp from him.
Fernandes – an associate of Shavik Chakraborty, is a city-based drug dealer who used to supply drugs for Sushant.
He was caught along with other pedestrians from Dadar West region and the NCB recovered half a kilo of cannabis from them.
Gupta is an auto-rickshaw driver by profession, but his main occupation was to weed heavily in the current case for retail pedestrians like Fernandes.
Patel, part of Anand’s drugs distribution chain, used to distribute narcotics to various celebrities, as the NCB prepares to delve deeper into the alleged Bollywood-drugs nexus.
Nabrade, Anreja, 29, of the upmarket Powai region, runs a food kitchen in a posh area of Mumbai and also sells drugs such as Weed, Hash and MD to high profile clients.
He used to buy his supplies from Anand and Patel and was also associated with Anand and Anuj Keshwani – who were earlier arrested in the same case. The NCB recovered 42 grams of charas and Rs 112,400 in cash from him.
Last of all, Ansari is operating a wholesale purchase channel of weeds for Gupta, which further distributed it through others in the network.
Malhotra said that apart from this, NCB, Goa sub zone has arrested Chris Costa in the same case and further investigation is going on.
The NCB has also refuted speculation in some sections of the media that several prominent Bollywood celebrities are on its radar or being investigated.
