Bharti Airtel and Vodafone-Idea have suffered a major loss in terms of users in April. Airtel has lost about 52.6 lakh users and Vodafone-Idea has lost 45.1 lakh users. In this way, about 1 crore users of both companies have been reduced. At the same time, Reliance Jio has benefited during this time and its users have increased.

Market leader Reliance Jio added more than 15.7 lakh new users during this period despite the poor market conditions. However, in March 2020, Jio received about 47 lakh new users, compared to which the figure is lower but Jio performed better than the rest of the companies. Like other companies, Jio's userbase was not damaged.

Fast growing telecom users

The data related to the new users has been shared by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). In fact, due to the lockdown in April 2020, many users had to close their mobile connections, these users may include migrant laborers and other users. It has been said by the telecom regulator that in April, new Indian telecom users have grown by more than 8 million and even after that new users are constantly getting added.

Tariff plans can be expensive

Users of Airtel and Vodafone-Idea Ltd. have come down from 32.2 crores to 31.4 crores. At the same time, Jio's userbase has increased to 389 million after the growth in April. However, considering the current market situation, tariff plans are believed to be expensive. Remind that in December last year, the plans of all companies were expensive.
