Former Australia all-rounder and veteran coach Tom Moody has been appointed as the new Director of Cricket in Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC). According to Cricbuzz, Moody was named as the director of cricket based on the recommendations of the Technical Advisory Committee of Sri Lanka Cricket.
Moody will have a tenure of three years and, as per the contract, he will act as an advisor.
Moody’s new role will include analysis of future tour programs focused on domestic tournament structure, player welfare, education and skill development, coaching and support staff structure and high performance and data analytics, SLC said.

Moody said on this, “I am eager to work with a talented and proud cricket country.”
The former Australian and Worcestershire all-rounder previously worked as Sri Lanka coach for a period of two years. Moody has also served as the director of IPL team Sunrisers Cricket and as the head coach of Western Australia.
