The son of famous comedian, actor and singer Mahmood Ali, Lucky Ali is also a lyricist and actor. Singer ‘Gori Teri Aankhen’ debut album ‘Sunoh’ won several top awards in the Indian music industry.

Popular for his distinctive style of singing, Ali acted in several films. He first appeared as a child artist in the film ‘Chhote Nawab’ in the year 1962. The Safarnama starred in ‘Singer Tab H Ye Hai Zindagi’, Are Hamre Tumare ‘, Hare Trikala’ and others. He also worked in Shyam Benegal’s TV series ‘Bharat Ek Khoj’. Lucky Ali also acted in ‘Kaante’, ‘Sur – The Melody of Life’ and others.

Lucky Ali has worked with creators including AR Rahman, Vishal Bhardwaj, Vishal-Shekhar and others. He stayed away from professional singing for a long time and his latest song is ‘Safarnama’ from the 2015 film Tamasha.
