Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli has decided to help the flood victims in Bihar and Assam. Kohli posted on his Twitter handle that he and his wife, actress Anushka Sharma, will help three organizations that are providing food, relief and other supplies to the flood victims.
Kohli tweeted, 'We are praying for the people of Assam and Bihar, along with this we take an oath to help the needy. We will help three organizations which are doing tremendous work in the field of food and other relief. '
More than 100 people have died due to floods in Assam. At the same time, 16.5 lakh people have been affected by it. In Bihar also 38 people have been affected by this flood.
Earlier, former England captain Kevin Pietersen also expressed condolences to the people of Assam. He had said, 'My condolences are to all the beautiful people of Assam. I met him during my visit in March. The deadly flood is destroying lives there at the moment.
Indian football captain Sunil Chhetri has also attracted the attention of people for the problems of this northeastern state. Assam is also battling the Covid-19epidemic during this period of Corona.
Chhetri had tweeted, 'Assam needs your attention and help along with prayers so that it can recover from the damage caused by the floods'.
