Virat Kohli on Paternity Leave – India will return after Adelaide Test, Rohit Sharma joins the team

Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli will return to India after playing the first match of the Test series against Australia. Virat had already informed BCCI about this. It was told at the board meeting that Rohit Sharma has been included in the Test team. Virat is due to become a father in January and that is why he will not play the remaining three Tests.

The Indian team’s Australia tour starts on 27 November. The team will play the first three ODIs and will be followed by a series of three T20 matches. Four Test matches will be played after the limited overs series. The list of questions in front of the Indian team going on this long tour is also very big. The selection committee of the senior team met on Sunday and some replacements were also selected following the report of the medical team of the board.

Virat Kohli to return after first Test
At the BCCI Selection Committee meeting held on October 26, Virat Kohli had told that he would return to India after the first Test match to be held in Adelaide. In January, Virat is going to be a father and on this occasion he wants to be with his wife Anushka Sharma. The first Test will be played in Adelaide from 17 December. It will be a day-night test match.

The board gave a press release on Monday and informed about this. Rohit Sharma has been included in the Test team. Rohit was not selected for the first tour of Australia after which there was a lot of controversy. The BCCI medical team is keeping an eye on Rohit Sharma’s fitness and information has been given to the selection committee. Regarding Sharma, the committee’s advice is that he has decided to rest in ODIs and T20 Internationals during the Australia tour so that he can be fit for the Test series, which has included him in the team.
