Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag has taunted captain Virat Kohli’s habit of constant change in the team. Sehwag said that he felt that Manish Pandey could get a chance to replace Sanju Samson in the third and final match of the series.
The Indian cricket team has already named the T20I series against Australia. The team has taken a 2–0 lead in the three-match series. The third and last match of the series will be played on Tuesday. In the second T20 International, India gave rest to players like Mohammad Shami, Jaspreet Bumrah, Navdeep Saini and Mayank Agarwal. On the other hand, Manish Pandey did not play due to discomfort in Kohli.
Pandey did not get a chance in the ODI series. After this, he scored just 2 runs in the first T20 International. It will be interesting to see if he will get a chance in the third T20 International. Virender Sehwag feels that India should enter without any change.
Along with this, Sehwag also mentioned Kohli’s habit of making changes in the team. He said, ‘I don’t think India needs to make any changes. But maybe Manish Pandey will get a chance to play if he is fit, but whose place will he play again. I only see one change. Sanju Samson has got two matches and has not scored much. Virat Kohli has a habit of making changes in the team after two matches, so maybe we get to see it in this match.
However, former cricketer Mohammad Kaif has a different opinion on this matter. Kaif is against the opinion of the removal of Sanju Samson. The former cricketer said that even though Samson may not have scored much runs, he was seen playing very well at the crease.
Kaif said, “Samson has got a chance in two innings and he was playing very well in the first T20 International. I think he can score runs and he has the X-factor, he has the ability to hit long sixes. Yes, they are not able to fully redeem Mauko. He is new and will get more opportunities although he does not take advantage of the opportunities that Natarajan has taken. Sanju Samson did not do that but I think he should get more opportunities.
