Taking inspiration from Agatha Christie’s timeless mysteries, the first film will feature a young heroine who is thrown into solving a murder. This would make the heroine witness to exposing the case with an unexpected partner. Future films will follow the pair and make them witnesses to solve many murder cases. The script is currently under development and there are no revelations yet on which Christie’s books will be adapted.

The director of The 7 Khoon Maaf is excited to dive into the project as he shares, “Agatha Christie defines the emotional chaos, miscreant relationships and turmoil in her characters by entangling us in an exhilarating mystery.” Was a tremendous skill. It is an honor to form an Indian franchise of a pair of young investigators looking around the world with their intelligence and charm. ACL has been such an amazing partner and we are all excited to come on this journey. “

Speaking on the collaboration, Agatha Christie’s great-grandson, James Agath, and Agatha Christie Ltd. President and CEO said, “I am really excited at the prospect of developing a new Agatha Christie film franchise in India, and I am delighted Partnering with Vishal, who is a multi-layered and visionary filmmaker with a terrific track record, working to create memorable pieces of cinema. They have demonstrated a real passion and understanding for my great grandmother’s characters and stories and I am very curious to see where this project takes us. “

Shooting for the franchise’s first film is scheduled to begin in early 2021, with Bassi Akbabio and Leo Dezoysa acting as executive producers for Agatha Christie Ltd. in the new films.
