So far, more than 25 thousand people have lost their lives due to the deadly corona virus. Meanwhile, many people are helping the needy in the difficult phase of Kovid-19. A similar cricketer VVS Laxman, a woman auto driver from Manipur, was praised.
Former Indian batsman Laxman shared Imphal's photo and story related to that auto driver on social media. This female auto driver named Iche Liby Oyenum, after successful completion of 140 km, had transported the Covid-19discharge nurse to her home.
Laxman wrote, 'A female auto driver from Imphal, Iche Liby Oyenum, drove a nurse recovering from Covid-19to his home traveling about 140 km at night when everyone refused to help the nurse. Libby drove the nurse all night to leave the nurse safe at her home. Hats off to you for this selfless service. '
The incident took place in May, when a lockdown was declared across the country. A nurse working in a hospital in Imphal had recovered from Corona and wanted to go home but could not find any means to take her home. Itche Liby helped him through this difficult time.
When the Chief Minister of the state N Biren Singh came to know about Iche Liby, he gave Rs 1.10 lakh as a reward.
