LED Floodlight has been installed at the Sardar Patel Stadium in Motera, during the upcoming Day-Night Test between India and England (India vs England Day-Night Test) in this new look stadium. The ball can be easily seen in the air.
Gujarat Cricket Association joint secretary Anil Patel said that the world’s largest cricket stadium has 11 center pitches and four dressing rooms including a gym. Motera Stadium underwent extensive reconstruction work which began when the current BCCI secretary Jay Shah was the chairman of the state cricket unit.

It has a seating capacity of 1,10,000 spectators, which is more than the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Around 55,000 tickets were put on sale for the next two Tests to be held at the GCA Stadium.
Recently, the knockout rounds of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy were also held in Motera. GCA Joint Secretary Patel said, ‘It is the only stadium in the world that has 11 center pitches on the main ground. Also, we are the only stadium in the world to use the same soil for practice and center pitch. We have installed LED lights on the roof in full circle to remove better visibility and shadows.
