What will be the game plan of Delhi Capitals in IPL 2020, Captain Shreyas Iyer said

On reaching the final of the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the first time, Delhi Capitals captain Shreyas Iyer expressed happiness that it is a great feeling. He also said that the team needs to maintain its spirit in the final match against Mumbai Indians.

Delhi beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 17 runs in the second qualifier of the season played at Sheikh Zayed Stadium on Sunday. In the finals, she will face the record four-time champion Mumbai Indians, who defeated her in the first qualifier.

Iyer said after the match, ‘Great. This is the best feeling ever. Meanwhile, there were many ups and downs. We remained like a family. There was a lot of responsibility as a captain and you had to maintain consistency as a batsman in the top order.

He said, ‘… but I got the support of my coaches and team owners. Actually I am lucky to have found such a good team. In the next match also we have to play free and keep our spirit.

Batting first after Delhi won the toss, Shikhar Dhawan (78) scored 189 for three and then restricted Sunrisers Hyderabad to 172 for eight.

Iyer said, ‘We were happy with our score. We were scoring 10 runs per over but Rashid Khan could be lethal and that’s why we played his overs.
