WhatsApp has been in the news for some time now for its new privacy policy. Meanwhile, people started looking at other options instead of WhatsApp. During this time people kept distance from WhatsApp and downloaded other chatting apps. Well WhatsApp has withdrawn its new privacy policy and updated people through the states that there will be no threat to their privacy.

user interface:
WhatsApp: Talking about the user interface of WhatsApp, its UI has 3 main tabs, with which it is quite simple. It is shown in the form of calls, chats and statuses, which reveal their actions on sight. In this, a ‘New Chat’ button appears directly below for new chat.

At the same time, with the three-dot menu to go to the settings, there is a ‘Search Chat’ button on the top right side, going to Creating a New Group, Broadcast, Opening WhatsApp Web, Macing Payment or Started Message section. When you open the chat once, the text input fields are below the display with emoji, attached media, camera, and voice buttons. Users can directly call / video call contacts, chat search, mute notifications, change wallpaper, export chat and block contacts, etc. directly from the top.

Telegram
The user interface on Telegram is slightly different such as call logs, the option to create new groups, go to settings and other things are in the hamburger menu. In this, a button which is similar to WhatsApp is a floating button. It is on the straight side, it is used to create new chats, groups and secret chats etc. At the same time there are no tabs in the telegram and everything appears on a single screen. After opening the chat, things remain the same with button placement like WhatsApp.

Signal
If we talk about the Signal app, its user interface is similar to WhatsApp and the Chat Man screen appears, but there is no tab. Most of the button placements on the man chat screen and inside the chat are similar to whatsapp. Users can go through the 3-dot menu to go to the settings. Or you can click on the profile photo upside down in the top, reverse in the top.

Features:
WhatsApp
Talking about the features, there are limited features in WhatsApp. This is one of its specialties that in this, users were not given features simultaneously, but were made aware of new features over time so that there is no confusion. In this, users can backup chat on Google Drive. If users change their smartphone, then they can find the old chat in the new smartphone. At the same time, it does not work with other platforms than Android.

WhatsApp on Android makes backups on Google Drive, but on iOS, backups are made in iCloud. That is, if a user switches from Android to iOS or from iOS to Android, then they cannot restore their old chat. With the help of pad softwares, this work is done. Users can export chat through zip file and there is also an option to include media or not.

Other features like changing wallpaper, notification customization, dark / light mode theme, two-factor authentication and more. Users can use both Mac and Windows on their computer or laptop via WhatsApp web or WhatsApp desktop. During this time, it is mandatory for the user to connect the phone to the Internet.

Telegram
Talking about Telegram, there is no need to worry about backup as it is a Clyde based messenger and there is no problem in syncing. Users can access their messages from one device to multiple devices, including tablets and computers. During this, unlimited photos, videos and files of up to 2 GB can be shared in each. If you do not want to store data in your device then you can keep it in cloud mode.

Telegram can be used in smartphones, tablets and computers. Its apps are iOS 9.0 or above and Android 4.1 or above. Along with this, Telegram can also use web which works in Window, MacOS and Linux. Telegram can be used across multiple devices simultaneously. WhatsApp is currently being worked on for this feature.

This includes advanced customization like creating themes, custom themes, accent colors and many more. It has a ‘saved message’ feature, through which users can save anything on one device and then open or download it on another device. It has additional features such as end-to-end encryption for secret chat, 2-factor authentication and more.

Signal
Talking about Signal, this app has fewer features than both previous apps, but it has all the features needed. All the features like deleting the message, receipts, pin lock, chatting backup, thimming, etc. are provided for everyone. The signal lacks cloud backup and is a big feature that people are switching to less of it.

In this, backup is made only on the device, so that the old chat cannot be easily transferred from one phone to another phone or computer. For this, very difficult and long process has to go through.

This is a way in which the differences between these three apps can be fixed. After comparison we can say that Telegram has the most features among the three. Then there is WhatsApp and finally the signal.

Security
Talking about security, WhatsApp has already stated that all its chats, including group chats, are encrypted end-to-end. This means that neither WhatsApp nor its main company Facebook nor chat can be shared with anyone else. Only the user and you can see each other’s chat.

WhatsApp’s new privacy policy, which comes into force in May, will only affect business chat, which is for business accounts. Here, Facebook can provide advertisements to users after reading the data. WhatsApp stated that ‘We do not retain the message due to providing our service to you.

Once users’ messages (chat, photos, videos, voice messages, files and location, etc.) are delivered, they are deleted from the server. Messages are saved only in the user’s device. If a message is not delivered immediately (as you are offline) it can be kept on the server for 30 days, as it is tried to be delivered. If a message is not delivered after 30 days, it is deleted.

Telegram
Talking about security, Telegram is based on the MTProto protocol. It is claimed that it is safer than WhatsApp. Telegram operates on two layers of safe encryption, including server-client encryption that is used in cloud chat (personal and group chat), and secret chat works on client-client encryption. All types of data are absolutely safe.

Its encryption is based on 256-bit synchronous AES encryption, 2048-bit RSA encryption, and Diffie-Hellman Secure key exchange. According to Telegram, if you want more encryption, you can use secret chats which are encrypted end-to-end. After which there is no trace even on the server. In this, the secret chats are not part of the Telegram cloud and only go from user to user.

Signal
Talking about security, Signal allows the user to make the signal profile (name and other information) encrypted. If the user’s device is lost or replaced, then the user’s existing profile returns after using the PIN. Along with this, chat is always kept end-to-end encrypted in this app. This means that only the user and his contact can read the chat.
