Pakistan Cricket Board President Ehsan Mani said that unless India gives written assurances to give visas to his team, fans and journalists for the upcoming T20 World Cup, they will keep demanding the tournament be held in the UAE.
Speaking to reporters at the PCB headquarters in Lahore, Mani said that the board has conveyed its views to the ICC. He said, ‘There is a need to change the mindset of this Big Three. We are asking for a written guarantee to get visas not only for the national team but also for our fans, officials and journalists.
“We have told the ICC that we want written assurances by the end of March so that we know what to do next or else we will hold on to the demand for the World Cup in the UAE rather than India,” Mani said.
The T20 World Cup is to be held in India in October-November. Money said that they also want written assurance from the BCCI on the security arrangements for the entire team of Pakistan.
