An official press statement from the company said that Xiaomi has sold more than 1 million smartphones in the offline market in a single day. After the best sales in the online segment in India, the company now claims that more than 1 million Xiaomi smartphone units have been sold in the offline market on January 10, which is a new record. In a statement shared by the company on Tuesday Xiaomi has said that the sales in the offline market of smartphones have increased by 70 percent year-on-year. Along with this, 50% increase has been registered in the month-to-month offline sales data during the festive season. At the same time, Xiaomi’s offline TV business has also grown by 400 percent year-on-year.

One day record

Xiaomi india Head of offline operations Sunil Baby said, ‘Xiaomi started its offline expansion from the first quarter of 2017 and we decided to do something special on its anniversary this year. The entire offline team and supply chain management team worked hard for several weeks, due to which we were able to sell more than one million units in a day to create a new record in the offline space.

Large market share in India

The Chinese company has seen excellent growth in the market in the last five years. The brand with the highest market share in India currently has more than 2500 Mi Stores, more than 75 Mi Homes and more than 20 Mi Studios. Not only this, the company has more than 7000 partner stores, which are present in many cities of India. The first brand exclusive retail store ‘Mi Home’ from the company was launched on May 10, 2017 and it generated a revenue of over 5 crores in a 12-hour sale.
