Younis Khan becomes Pakistan’s batting coach until T20 World Cup 2022

Pakistan Cricket Board has extended the agreement of batting coach Younis Khan to the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia in 2022. The PCB said that he had received positive feedback about Younis’ role on the England tour. Pakistan Cricket Board chief executive Wasim Khan said, ‘I am happy that Younis will be the batting coach for the next two years. There has been good feedback on his contribution on the England tour.

Younis was the captain of the Pakistani team that won the 2009 T20 World Cup. Younis has scored 10,099 runs in his 118 Tests with a career-best score of 313 runs. He has also been the number one batsman in the ICC rankings. Younis said, “I am happy to join Pakistan cricket for a long time.”

He said, “I felt honored when I was given the opportunity this season and now I look forward to continuing to work with the same group of players on an important tour of New Zealand.” The PCB has also appointed former Test spinner Arshad Khan as the bowling coach of the women’s team for a year.
