Pakistan bowling coach Waqar Younis has ended a long-drawn tweet on social media from his former cricket teammate Shahid Afridi and former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir. Appealed to 'talk intelligently'.
Between Gambhir and Afridi, there has been a long war of words against each other on topics ranging from politics to cricket careers on social media.
In his autobiography too, Afridi wrote sarcasm at Gambhir, “He behaves as if he has the qualities of Don Bradman and James Bond. His attitude is aggressive but his records are not good. ”Gambhir had said in response that he would take Afridi to a psychiatrist himself.
Waqar said at the 'Q20' event organized by GlowFans, “Gautam Gambhir and Shahid Afridi have been in conflict for some time. I think both need to be smarter, smarter and quieter. ”He said,“ If you do this on social media, people will like it, enjoy it. I think both of them need to act wisely. '
Waqar, who has been monitoring the fiery reactions of both on social media, said that the issue should be resolved by the two together. He said, 'This is going on long. My advice to both would be to talk together about this and if this is not possible then you can remain calm. '
Afridi made anti-India remarks against Kashmir and the Prime Minister last month after which former Indian players Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh severed ties with him. Before this, both Punjab players had supported Afridi's NGO. Waqar said in response to a question that India and Pakistan should play the series regularly.
He said, “If you ask the people of both countries whether Pakistan and India should play against each other.” About 95 percent of the people would agree that cricket should be played between these two. '
The former fast bowler expects the two countries to play in a bilateral series in the near future. He said, 'I hope India and Pakistan will play in the bilateral series. It is not known whether these matches will be played, but I hope it will be in Pakistan or India. '
